One thing I absolutely love are Japanese Sweets and Pastries! They don't just look cute and elegant, they also taste amazing and delicious! I have collected some of the cutest and most delicious to share with you guys.~
Mochi
Mochi is a Japanese rice cake that is made from Mochigome. Although mocha is eaten often at new years, a lot of people also eat it during the year. The picture above, shows "Daifuku" which has mochi outside and has a sweet filling(The one in the image has red bean paste and a strawberry filling).
Dango
Dango is a sweet Japanese dumpling made from rice flour. It is often eaten all year round, but some are made especially for a specific season such as the one above, Hanami Dango, which is made for the Cherry Blossom season. It is often served with green tea and three to four dango are put on a skewer for easier eating.
Taiyaki
Taiyaki is a fish-shaped cake. The most common fillings for these are sweetened azuki beans, custard, chocolate, cheese, or sweet potato. There is even Taiyaki ice cream which also tastes really yummy!
Dorayaki
Dorayaki is a red-bean pancake. It consists of two pancakes wrapped around a filling of red bean paste( yes, I love red bean paste ^w^) . It is often served warm.
These are only few of Japanese Pastries and Sweets, but be sure to try them if you get the chance!
Have a wonderful day/or evening everyone!!!
